The Great Gatsby Chapter 5 notes

After Nick and Gatsby arranged a tea meet up with Daisy, Gatsby was obviously super nervous for Daisys arrival that he brought many plants and grass just to impress Daisy. The author keeps describing the weather and how it’s unpredictable to set the mood of the setting. All of a sudden when Daisy arrived at Gatsby she bursted in tears saying ‘I’m crying because of how beautiful the shirts are’ but I think it was just an excuse being them happy tears. The reason Gatsby bought the house was because it was right across the bay from Daisy’s house
