The Great Gatsby chapter 8 notes

Gatsby is reliving the moment he met Daisy and he took her one night to make love just because he couldn’t have her and almost makes it forbidden but he soon then starts to fall in love with her to the point where he literally can’t live with out her.

The Great Gatsby chapter 7 notes

Gatsby stops throwing parties because he finally has what he want and it’s Daisy. He also seeks privacy. He fires his servants because he doesn’t want gossiping or rumors to go around and the Wolfsheim are sketchy. Gatsby’s reaction to Daisy’s daughter is super sweet towards her. Tom begins the confrontation because he pointed out Gatsby on saying old sport too much and saying he runs a bootleg operation causing Gatsby to lash out. After they head back Myrtle runs out on the road causing them to run her over and killing her. Daisy is Gatsby’s fantasy and it turned out Daisy was driving the car so Gatsby was outside waiting for Daisy to go to sleep but it doesn’t really seem to bother Daisy that she ran over and killed a women.

Have To Versus Want To Versus Get To

Agreeing doing homework is completely different than being assigned to a homework because you had a talk with the teacher and you either shook your head or looked into the teachers eyes and agreed to finish the homework so it tends to have more promise to it. While being assigned one it the teachers expects you to finish your work meaning you can either do it or forget about it and not do it.

The Great Gatsby Chapter 5 notes

After Nick and Gatsby arranged a tea meet up with Daisy, Gatsby was obviously super nervous for Daisys arrival that he brought many plants and grass just to impress Daisy. The author keeps describing the weather and how it’s unpredictable to set the mood of the setting. All of a sudden when Daisy arrived at Gatsby she bursted in tears saying ‘I’m crying because of how beautiful the shirts are’ but I think it was just an excuse being them happy tears. The reason Gatsby bought the house was because it was right across the bay from Daisy’s house

The Great Gatsby - Chapter 3 : Questions

The rumors about Gatsby spread by the two girls and Jordan were that they think Gatsby is a German spy or even killed a man. I think What makes Gatsby so mysterious is that he tends to keep to himself and go about his days. Nick calls the man Owl Eyes (balasco). Nick imagines Gatsby to be rosy, imposing and husky. Nick finds out about Jordan that she is attractive, dishonest and an observer. They plan to go to New York and go boating. Nicks cardinal sin is that he is honest because it’s ironic. Nick doesn’t fit in even though he isn’t as rich as them.

The Great Gatsby 22- end.

Tom drags nick along to the city and picks up his mistress. The mistress ended up being the wife of the mechanic. Daisy is super racist and Tom was drunk and broke Ms. Wilson’s nose while she was telling the story how she met Tom. While doing so Mr. McKee was asleep on the chair having no clue was was occurring at that moment. The word violent was used a lot in the beginning of the chapter foreshadowing how violent Tom is.

The Great Gatsby 1-22

As we started reading we found out Nick left his family business and moved to New York. He made friends with some rich people and started to learn about there secrets. Tom had a girl in New York , the butlers nose is messed up, Tom’s a racist and Daisy turned out to be a sexist and was super sad when she found out the gender of her baby was a girl.
